Pearson Education (Thailand), a leading provider of globally recognised qualifications, has partnered with the Council of University Presidents of Thailand (CUPT) to raise awareness of BTEC qualifications across Thailand. In a recent webinar attended by over 40 representatives from Thai universities, participants gained insights into the Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) qualifications, covering BTEC International Level 3 and BTEC Higher Nationals. The session highlighted the practical, industry-relevant nature of BTEC programs and their growing recognition in the country.
The webinar explored the diverse subjects offered by BTEC and the grading equivalency between BTEC qualifications, A-Levels, and Thai GPA. This information helps universities effectively assess and recognise BTEC for admissions and credit transfer purposes. Notably, the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Thai University Central Admission System (TCAS) now recognise BTEC, expanding educational and career pathways for Thai students.
The webinar also provided guidance for institutions interested in becoming authorised BTEC centres, empowering them to deliver BTEC qualifications directly to students. This initiative aims to enrich the Thai education system and equip students with the skills needed to succeed in a global job market through greater collaboration between Pearson and CUPT.
