The announcements were made during Cisco Live 2025 and reflect the company’s focus on helping organisations accelerate AI deployment through robust infrastructure, enhanced security, and improved observability.
Jeetu Patel, Cisco’s President and Chief Product Officer, stated that the company is building infrastructure optimised for AI, enabling secure connectivity and powering global digital operations. As organisations integrate agentic AI into their operations, Cisco aims to support automation and complex problem-solving across industries.
Ford Motor Company’s Chief Information Security Officer, Patrick Milligan, confirmed that Cisco’s networking and security platforms play a vital role in managing Ford’s AI capabilities, which span from design to customer service.
AI-Ready Work Environments
Cisco is responding to increased network traffic and heightened security demands by releasing new hardware and AI-based tools for branch, campus, and industrial networks. A new AI-powered management interface enables proactive network operations, reducing reliance on manual processes. A new PTZ camera offers cinematic meeting experiences, and tools like Jira Workflow Automation and Webex AI Agent increase workplace productivity with intelligent self-service and task automation.
Operational Simplicity with AgenticOps
The company introduced several AI tools to streamline IT operations. Cisco AI Canvas enables real-time collaboration between network and security teams. Cisco AI Assistant provides a conversational interface control across the ecosystem. These features are supported by the Deep Network Model — a specialised large language model trained on Cisco’s internal materials, including its expert-level certification content, enhancing operational efficiency through AI that understands network infrastructure.
AI-Driven Data Centre Capabilities
Cisco revealed updates to its data centre solutions designed to support agentic AI with improved bandwidth, lower latency, and enhanced energy efficiency. The company also announced its partnership with the EPRI Open Power AI Consortium, aiming to apply AI to energy grid management. New tools were also introduced to help service providers monetise AI offerings more effectively.
Advanced Security for AI Workloads
With increasing application complexity and distributed workforces, Cisco presented updates across its security portfolio. Enhancements to the Hybrid Mesh Firewall and Zero Trust Network Access offerings were unveiled. Two new firewalls – the 6100 and 200 series – provide improved price-to-performance ratios. Updates to the Cisco Security Cloud enable organisations to secure their AI-driven operations more effectively.
Strengthening Digital Resilience
Cisco is expanding its observability tools through closer integration between Splunk and Cisco platforms. Upgrades to the Splunk Observability Cloud and AppDynamics improve visibility across digital operations. Bi-directional integration between ThousandEyes Assurance, Cisco’s enterprise networks, and Splunk delivers real-time insights and a more resilient digital infrastructure.
Unified Management for Modern IT
Cisco previewed Cisco Cloud Control, a new platform that unifies management across its networking, security, and observability tools. Powered by native AI features such as AI Canvas and AI Assistant, this platform allows IT teams to manage cross-product workflows, diagnose issues, and oversee infrastructure from a single interface.
